Chase the Kangaroo is a gathering place for the things that catch my attention during the week. Stories I’ve lived or borrowed. Music worth sitting with. Books worth carrying around for a while. Ideas still forming. Images that hold something true.
The subjects wander a bit. Health. Leadership. Philosophy. The outdoors. The small and large questions of living well. Everything here circles the same concern. What it means to live a life that engages the spirit, sharpens the mind, and strengthens the body.
The name comes from Chase the Kangaroo, a song and album by one of my favorite bands, The Choir. The idea behind it is simple. Life is full of responsibility, effort, and long stretches of ordinary work. But it is also full of curiosity, adventure, and the occasional bit of good-natured foolishness.
This site is a small stop along the road. A little diner off the highway for the spirit, mind, and body. Pull up a chair, stay a while, and hopefully leave a little better fed than when you arrived.
