Quote to Ponder ~James Clear

1–2 minutes

“ When choosing a new habit many people seem to ask themselves, ‘What can I do on my best days?’
The trick is to ask, ‘What can I stick to even on my worst days?’
Start small. Master the art of showing up. Scale up when you have the time, energy, and interest.”
~ James Clear

This is so true. When trying to establish a new habit, we are fired up. Our enthusiastic-self takes the lead. This happens with little regard for reality. It also disregards the strength of all of our other conflicting habits we’ve already established, intentionally or unintentionally. Those changes we want to make are often unrealistic. They may be so grandiose that we don’t think through how we are going to forge our new wanted habit.

As James points out, what is that one change we can make? Can we put something into place that we can stick with, despite weather or a slow start to the morning?
